Baby Rabbit Update Day 11

Oh my goodness, oh my goodness.  Baby bunnies are the cutest lil things in the world. Don't you agree???

Although they will be even more adorable when they finally open their eyes.  These lil bundles are 11 days old today and I am ready to see some EYES. I'm pretty sure they will be opened tomorrow. They have little slits in them today so it shouldn't be long. Although, it's kind of like with your kids and talking and walking. You want them to learn and then you spend the rest of their lives telling them to sit down and be quiet ha ha ha. It's the same with rabbits. You want them to open their eyes and then you have to watch and make sure they don't get out of the nest and get too cold.
These are "Bees" seven little bouncing bundles. Here you
can see what colors they are starting to turn out to be.

Now is the time, if you haven’t started already, to hold the babies more and more each day so they will be used to being held when they get older. This is not a problem for me because I love to go out everyday and pick each one up and see how fast they are growing and how much they change from day to day. Being consistent each and every day with holding them will help in making them tame so you will be able to hold them when they are grown. It will also help in handling them if you decide your bunnies will be show rabbits.

We hope you are enjoying our "Baby Rabbit Updates." Be sure to follow along as we have several moms that will be delivering litters over the next couple weeks. If you would like to come and see our rabbitry and the way we operate please contact us at stinnettfamilyfarms (@) yahoo (dot) com. We love visitors and we have plenty of baby bunnies for you to fall in love with!!

Today is Feb 3rd, 2013 and just like every morning I went out to check on Bee and her babies.  This is day 5 and there are 7 little bouncing bundles and I do mean bouncing. They try to hop out of our hands lol. Here is Bees nest full of holland lop babies:

I am soooo excited that we can tell for the most part if the will be broken or solid colors.  Arent they just the cutiest lil things you’ve ever seen!!!!!!!!!!! ALL 7 of them are FAT and healthy just like this one……. See his fat little round belly? This is the perfect picture of a little bunny that is eating like a PIG!! ha ha ha
I love watching the babies grow, it never gets old waiting to start seeing the fuzz color show up. LOL

Let us know what you think about our Baby Rabbit Updates. We hope to make this a weekly segment to let you guys know what is going on and how all of our little Bouncing Bundles are developing. So far these are doing wonderfully!!
If you have baby bunnies please share them with us. We want to see your little critters too. Lets swap bunny tales lol.
Thanks for stopping by and happy bunny raising to all of you.

NEW ARRIVALS!! HOLLAND LOP BABIES!!

We have our first litter of Holland Lops from our newest rabbits.
Yesterday Bee looked like this:

And this morning when we checked on her she looked like this:

And this is what we found in her brand new nest we made over the weekend:

They are all covered up with mom's hair right now but stay tuned for picture updates at least once a week to see how the little bouncing bundles are progressing.
Just wanted to let you know about the new arrivals!! We are soooo excited and got another litter due on the 3rd but I seriously don't think she will make it that long!! ha ha ha
Be sure to check out the new eBook "Cattle Panel Structures" for free download. This is how we just built our new rabbit barn. It is working beautifully even after the strong thunderstorms with heavy heavy wind we had last night the bunnies are all snug and warm in the new barn.
Thanks for visiting us here at Bouncing Bundles Rabbitry. Be sure to come visit us at Stinnett Family Farms and as always.....
Happy Homesteading!!!!
